There is an oil palm estate, which lies along the banks of Chalakudy river. The panoramic view of these oil palm plantation attracts Athirapally tourists. In some part of the estate you can take river  bath too

We hope, IT IS going to be opened for the tourists soon. It offers an eye catching scenic area of the hydel reservoirs with rare varieties of birds- flora and fauna. 

Athirapally Water Falls 

Vist Athirapally water falls, go on the top and bottom of the water falls. Explore water fall at your leisure. (Kerala's highest falls in rain forest)

Vazhachal Water falls  

Visit Vazhachal falls, it is beautiful in landscape. Vazhachal is just 5 kms only from Athirapally falls. Vazhachal is the area of ecotourism. Guests can walk around 1 kms through the bunks of the River, Lifeguards of Tribal community takes care of the security. A shop of rare tribal products is working there.

Charpa falls

 Charpa falls lies east of athirappilly and is between Athirapally falls and Vazhachal falls, it is seasonal, as summer starts to appear, it starts to disappear . it is a monsoon falls.  Charpa falls is wonderful with a deafening roar at right on  the road. It is a sight to watch and enjoy though it is least known. Be ready to get drenched if you are visiting  it in the  rainy season

Thumboormuzhy Dam & Butterfly Garden

It is an eco fragile  area with a lot of activities. It has basically a check dam,This part of the river is most suitable for bath . It has a beautiful mountain view of eye catching. Kerala's no-1 Butterfly garden is in Thumboormuzhy, it is a photo point for honeymooners, serials etc

Athirappilly Falls is situated in Athirappilly panchayath in Thrissur district of Kerala, on the southwest coast of India. Located on the west-flowing Chalakudy River near the Vazhachal Forest Division and the Sholayar ranges, this 80 ft waterfall and the nearby Vazhachal Falls are popular tourist destinations.
Vazhachal Falls is a rushing watercourse in the Chalakkudy River in the Thrissur district of Kerala, South India. It is located 36km from Chalakkudi and 5km from Athirappilly Falls. 
There is a  construction of a weir atThumboormuzhi across the Chalakudy river and diverting the water for Irrigation purpose.stage I of the scheme comprising a weir at Thumboormuzhi across Chalakudy river and a part of the canal system was commissioned in 1957 and stage II was commissioned in 1966.
Charpa Falls is one of the scenic locations in Thrissur. Situated close to the Athirappilly Falls (60 km from Thrissur), the waterfall is a part of River Chalakkudy. During monsoon months (June to August) it plunges on to the road.
